Veingogh

Spider veins are fine veins that are apparent on the skin. They often appear on the legs. They range from hair-thin purplish to pink veins to more prominent greenish-blue veins. Despite them not being harmful, they can still cause itching, heaviness, and minor tenders.

Most patients seek treatment as they are bothered by their appearance. Your doctor will perform a complete medical exam, such as an ultrasound assessment of the major veins in the legs. In some cases, spider veins might be due to venous reflux, which should be treated first to minimize the recurrence of spider veins after their treatment.

The veingogh procedure is used to treat and remove small spider veins. After cleaning the injection site, your doctor will use a very fine, insulated needle to administer the treatment just beneath the skin surface but without piercing the vessel itself. As a result, tiny vessels will be destroyed and disappear instantaneously. Since the procedure uses a hair-thin probe inserted into the vessel, there can be a “pinch.” Patients report it feels similar to a hair being removed.

The precise nature of the VeinGogh treatment limits the risk of over-treating, so there is little to no trauma to the skin. Following treatment, there will be some mild transient redness. However, men and women treated with VeinGogh can resume their normal activities immediately after their procedure. In addition, no bandages are required.

In most cases, only one treatment is necessary. The results are immediate. Over several weeks, you will see continuous improvement as the treated vessels are reabsorbed. Veins that have been adequately treated should not return. However, new veins may develop over time and require retreatment. Therefore, follow-up visits are recommended for “touch-ups.”
